Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a Market Risk Business Analyst for an 18 month W2 contract in Jersey City, NJ or NYC. The role supports the Market Risk Technology team, focusing on data governance, data flows, lineage, testing and compliance documentation.

You will manage a portfolio of remediation projects, source data from upstream systems, map data fields, and demonstrate data changes through the flow. SQL, Python, Tableau and data analysis skills are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Program/Project Manager working on significant technical delivery.
• Prior experience in data related and regulatory projects, Global Markets or Risk Technology, knowledge of Market Risk concepts.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical, business and quantitative model partners and stakeholders.
• Experience in synthesizing complex data into actionable analysis and presentations to non technical partners.
• Prior experience of agile and JIRA.
• Strong critical thinking and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of the important items that govern/ cover data that we consume/ create in market risk.
• Comfortable understanding detailed data flows, lineage requirements, transformations. Testing , audit and compliance documentation required etc
• Manage a portfolio of projects remediating data issues in our ecosystem.
• This may be include sourcing new data from an upstream system and make a change or sourcing data and map it to other fields in our system.
• Understand how do users test the change, we need to demonstrate how data changes or does not change through the flow.
• Need to be comfortable with a granular understanding as the project plan and creation of reporting across business and technology.
