Job summary

CenterPoint Energy seeks a Market Research Analyst to provide qualitative and quantitative research, evaluation support, and project management across multiple business units. You will conduct site visits, focus groups, surveys, and prepare topline and final reports for executives or VPs with emphasis on collaboration and timely deliverables.

A bachelor’s degree in social science or related field is required, plus 1–3 years in custom market research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a social science, economics, marketing, business or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience with custom market research, data analysis, and insights.
• Experience with simple statistical analysis using software like Excel, SPSS or SAS.

Responsibilities

• Write proposals with direction from executives, directors, and managers.
• Conduct qualitative interviews, focus groups, and site visits.
• Perform quantitative data file production and basic analyses.
• Create topline and final research reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Recommend procedural changes and manage project issues (field, sample, weighting, etc.).
• Collaborate across teams to support business objectives and timelines.
