UAB Medicine seeks a Market President, Community Hospitals to lead the Birmingham market. This senior executive oversees UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham, UAB St. Vincent's East, and UAB Medical West, aligning strategy with mission and driving excellence in care, operations, and finances.

The role partners with enterprise leaders, physicians, and community stakeholders to foster growth, quality, and access while sustaining workforce engagement and organizational values.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Hospital Administration, Business, or a related field.
• Ten years of senior administrative experience required.
• Experience in a multi-hospital system and as a hospital president/CEO.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes a unified strategy for the community hospital market.
• Drives growth, market share, service line development, and physician alignment.
• Identifies opportunities to improve access, expand services, and partnerships.
• Provides leadership for operational effectiveness and financial performance.
• Ensures achievement of quality, service, productivity, growth, and sustainability goals.
• Leads strategic planning, capital planning, and resource allocation.
• Promotes excellence in patient outcomes, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Partners with clinical leaders to drive continuous improvement and quality goals.
• Oversees governance relations with hospitals and physician leaders.
• Fosters engagement and accountability within the leadership team.
• Supports talent development, recruitment, and retention initiatives.
