Job summary

St. Joseph Health in Bryan, Texas seeks a Vice President of Medical Operations to lead clinical strategy across a five-hospital system within CommonSpirit Health.

You will work with the Market President and regional executives to drive quality, safety, and operational excellence while elevating physician engagement and patient experience. As a visible physician leader, you will partner with employed and independent clinicians, mentor physician leaders, and help shape long-term clinical strategy

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required with Texas license.
• Minimum 5 years of medical practice experience.
• At least 5 years as Hospital Chief Medical Officer or senior physician executive.
• Board certification via ABMS or NBPAS.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior physician executive for the Brazos Valley Market across five hospitals.
• Lead quality, safety, physician engagement and operational performance initiatives.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align clinical strategy with market goals.
• Foster physician relationships and oversee credentialing, privileging, and peer review.
• Guide strategic growth, access, and clinical excellence for a growing regional system.
