What This Position Is All About:

Position Description

The Market Manager for the South Eastern Market operating remotely from the Atlanta Area, takes charge of driving sales, profit, and key performance indicators in a high volume market. This is accomplished through fostering motivational communication, establishing clear standards, formulating actionable plans, and ensuring consistent follow-up. Reporting directly to the District Manager, they exhibit unwavering dedication to integrity, people development, and engagement, nurturing a high-performance culture that resonates with the company's Core Values and Winning Ways. Leveraging their profound understanding of the local demographic, they strategically implement plans to foster growth and consistently attain results.

Primary Job Functions

• Responsible for achievement of goals/objectives in Sales, Controllable Profit, EBITDA, Payroll Management, P&L performance, Email Capture rate, Proprietary Credit Card, Ship from Store and Omni-Channel initiatives.
• Responsible for leading all company initiatives, including the Playbook by clearly communicating objectives and priorities to the team and working through direct reports to drive results.
• Supports the selling and customer service experiences; providing leadership and motivation to team in achieving sales goals, driving omni-channel growth, and execution of company initiatives.
• Sustains adherence to the HR policies and procedures. Monitors performance management, compliance, and hiring practices in partnership with DVP.
• Manages training, IDP’s and mobility of team, maintaining a proactive talent succession plan to fill open positions by recruiting and hiring quality leaders that think and act like an Owner Operator.
• Hires, trains, develops and retains direct reports, ensuring their readiness for increased responsibility and providing a bench of internal talent who are upwardly mobile to fill critical positions.
• Responsible for maintaining fair and accurate practices within his/ her area including equitable hiring, scheduling, promotions and performance management.
• Manages and resolves poor performance and terminations appropriately, in partnership with the Employee Relations Service Center and Legal department, to improve overall productivity and performance of the team.
• Oversees the market’s inventory shortage strategy, results, and concerns, the Store Audit, and communicates policies and procedures to the leadership population.
• Oversees the merchandise presentation and signage standards in partnership with DVP.
• Partners with DVP to ensure merchandise assortment represents the customer in the market.
• Communicates consistently with the Corporate Visual and Creative team to ensure appropriate direction.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree preferred.
• Goal oriented focus, with demonstrated ability to identify, develop, manage and motivate a leadership team while driving company initiatives.
• Proficiency in utilizing available technology including Google Suite
• Ability to develop, plan and execute strategies to maximize opportunities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends and holiday schedules.
• Travel throughout the district is required.
• 8+ years of leadership experience with comparable volume or a proven track record of success managing a selling workforce and achieving results.
• Proven track record in developing direct reports and others, demonstrating managerial courage, exhibiting strong business acumen, communicating effectively, driving for results, adept problem-solving skills, and fostering teamwork and collaboration.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $125,000 and $135,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits), dependent on the position offered.
