Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. seeks a Market Manager, Cement, to lead territory strategies and grow our cement and concrete product footprint. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, delivering value, and guiding market initiatives within the Houston sales territory.

You will analyze market data, coordinate with customers and internal teams, and travel locally for meetings. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in construction materials, cement sales experience, and demonstrated

  • 3-5 years in the construction materials industry. Cement sales experience is highly preferred.
  • Sandler sales training and certification preferred
  • Travel 10% - 20%
  • Proficient in cement and concrete products

ABOUT THE ROLE

Excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who is eager to learn, grow, and take on new challenges with a strong interest in learning and building expertise in the Building Materials industry.

The Market Manager is an individual contributor role (no direct reports) with territory management and technical responsibilities.

The overall responsibilities of this role are to:

  • Develop and sustain a Business Strategy designed to gain or protect market share.
  • Provide basic technical service to Amrize customers in the territory.
  • Lead the territory Marketing and Sales efforts within the Business Unit.
  • Monitor the quality and performance of Amrize and competitive products in the territory.
Position Location

This is a remote position based from a personal home office, candidate must live within the Houston Texas sales territory.

Relocation

Position is eligible for relocation assistance for candidates outside the sales territory.

Travel

Position involves local travel to meet with customers and some national travel to attend business unit and district meetings.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Creates clear business strategy for key accounts (e.g. increase share, account penetration, protectexisting base, etc.)
  • Develops, maintains and strengthens customer relationships
  • Develops revenue and product goals which are time-bound, realistic and achievable
  • Understands how to deliver value to customers (Performance Innovations if applicable) and uses valueselling strategies
  • Develops plans to maximize potential of accounts, and efficient use of time; uses good accountmanagement practices
  • Provides technical assistance and utilizes resources as needed to satisfy basic product and customerissues
  • Resolves basic customer product and technical problems
  • Gathers territory intelligence on all market products and creates a realistic succession pipeline ofcustomers that can be sold if other volumes are lost
  • Tracking and management of major sales opportunities as they progress through the selling process
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety andenvironmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit thesebehaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Field of Study Preferred

Business, Engineering, or equivalent degree

Required Work Experience

3-5 years in the construction materials industry. Cement sales experience ishighly preferred.

Required Training/Certifications

Sandler sales training and certification preferred

Required Technical Skills

Microsoft Office, Google Suite, SAP, Salesforce, Qlikview

Travel Requirements

10% - 20%
