Sunbelt Rentals in Durham, NC is seeking an experienced Dispatch Manager to oversee drivers, scheduling, and on-time delivery of equipment across our market. You will lead a team, ensure DOT safety and compliance, and coordinate with store locations to meet customers' equipment needs.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in dispatching with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, plus a solid understanding of construction equipment operations and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5+ years of dispatching/leadership experience.
• Knowledge of DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and safety procedures.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee drivers across a market to ensure prompt receipt and delivery of equipment.
• Hire, train, mentor, and coach staff responsible for pickup and delivery.
• Coordinate dispatch of rental equipment and transfers across the defined market.
• Create and monitor drivers’ schedules and ensure timely contract creation and closure.
• Ensure daily truck inspections and safe, courteous operations per policy.
• Collaborate with stores to meet customer equipment needs and resolve complaints.
