Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Market Investigator to assess and mitigate risks related to freight and shipment discrepancies. You will collaborate with Regional and Corporate Security teams to conduct internal and external investigations, provide incident response, and support security assessments.

The role requires strong analytical and written communication skills, the ability to work independently, and occasional travel to sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in Security/Loss Prevention/Investigation.
• Senior level investigation and problem solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of management.
• Ability to self-start, prioritize and multi-task while working independently.
• Ability to identify critical issues with workable resolutions.
• Comprehensive understanding of Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Occasional travel required.

R+L Carriers is seeking a Market Investigator. This individual’s primary responsibility is to investigate and mitigate risks associated with freight and shipment discrepancies. The Market Investigator will work with Regional and Corporate Security resources to conduct internal and external investigations, provide incident response, and conduct security assessments. In this position the investigator will use the latest network security technology to resolve and prevent risk to the organization.

• Utilize software tools, data and proven skills to investigate, resolve and prevent freight exceptions/losses
• Maintain consistent and professional communication with various management levels and business departments
• Identify and communicate opportunities to improve procedures and best practice
• Audit compliance of policy and procedures
• Assist in developing processes and procedures to improve incident response times, analysis of incidents, and overall investigations
• Perform other duties as required
