Hy-Vee is hiring a Market Grille Clerk in Pleasant Hill, IA. You will serve customers, take orders, and ensure fresh, high-quality food while working as part of a friendly team. Training is provided, and past food service experience is a plus.

The role emphasizes accurate POS handling, adherence to safety and hygiene standards, and teamwork in a fast-paced store environment. This is an on-site position with opportunities to grow within Hy-Vee.

Qualifications

• No education is required; on-the-job training provided.
• Six months or less of related work experience is acceptable.
• Prior food service experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service with a smile.
• Take customer orders at the Market Grille counter and answer the phone.
• Review daily orders, anticipate needs, and replenish products as needed.
• Pull product from cooler/freezer to prepare for cooking.
• Handle food safely and check freshness throughout shifts.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area during your shift.
• Operate the department register, take payments, and make change.
• Remove trash and wash dishes as necessary.
• Price and order product and deliver orders as needed.
• Work with teammates to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist in other areas and take on special projects.
• Follow personal hygiene, dress standards, and store policies.
• Report to work on time as scheduled.
