Hy-Vee in Quincy, IL is seeking a Market Grille Clerk to join our fast-paced kitchen team. You will greet customers with a smile, take orders, and help prepare made-to-order items while ensuring food safety and quality.

As part of the Market Grille, you’ll manage ring-up duties, assist with inventory during shifts, and maintain a clean, organized counter area. This role requires weekend and night availability and a teamwork-driven attitude.

Qualifications

• No education requirement; we will provide all training you need to succeed.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; prior food service experience is a plus.
• Physically able to stand, walk, and perform kitchen tasks including handling knives and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service, greeting customers with a smile, and going the extra mile.
• Take customer orders at the Market Grille counter and answer the telephone promptly.
• Prepare and replenish product as necessary and review daily orders for accuracy.
• Run the department register, receive payment, and make change where applicable.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and assist in other store areas as needed.
