General Function

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service. Reviews and fills customer orders, handles food safely, and maintains a clean work area.

Reporting Relations

Reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers, Food Service Director, Market Grille Department Manager, Assistant Department Manager, Service Managers.

Positions reporting to this role: None

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide friendly customer service, greeting customers and assisting with their needs.
• Take customer orders at the Market Grille counter and review orders for the day.
• Handle food safely, ensure cleanliness, and check food freshness.
• Prepare and replenish food, manage inventory, and ensure product availability.
• Operate the department register, process payments, and manage invoices.
• Maintain personal hygiene and adhere to store policies.
• Report to work on time and as scheduled.

Secondary Duties

• Wash dishes, order supplies, price products, deliver orders, and assist in other store areas as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Follow detailed instructions and perform basic math.
• Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.

Education and Experience

No formal education required. Up to six months of related work experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and lift/move objects as needed.
• Visual acuity and physical activities such as standing, walking, reaching, and lifting.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a store environment with exposure to noise, equipment, chemicals, and temperature extremes.

Equipment Used

Kitchen tools, slicer, Hobart machine, grill, fryer, dishwasher, register, ovens, rotisserie, knives, label maker, and vehicle.
