Job Title: Market Grille Clerk

Department: Market Grille

FLSA: Non-Exempt

General Function

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service. Reviews and fills customer orders for the day. Handles food safely and maintains a clean work area.

Reporting Relations

Reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers, Food Service Director, Market Grille Department Manager, and Service Managers.

Positions reporting to you: None

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides friendly customer service, greeting customers and assisting with their needs.
• Answers phones promptly and takes customer orders.
• Works with team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Prepares and replenishes food, checks freshness, and maintains cleanliness.
• Handles transactions at the register where applicable.
• Maintains personal hygiene and adheres to company policies.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

• Washes dishes, orders supplies, prices products, delivers orders, and assists in other store areas.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics

• Ability to follow instructions and perform basic math.

Education and Experience

No formal education required; six months or less related work experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
• Visual and physical activities include climbing, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting.

Working Conditions

Store environment with potential noise, hazards, chemicals, and temperature extremes.

Equipment Used

Kitchen tools, appliances, and register system.
