Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Physician Services Market Director to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for multi-site physician services, driving growth, financial accountability, and regulatory compliance across the continuum of care.

You will build high-performing teams, strengthen physician relationships, oversee budgets, ensure HIPAA compliance, and promote patient access and care quality in Sylva, NC.

Responsibilities

• Driving Strategic Planning and Growth - Developing and implementing strategic goals, operational plans, and performance standards that align with organizational priorities and support growth of physician services.
• Leading Physician Services Operations - Directing and evaluating departmental operations to optimize workflows, enhance service delivery, improve efficiency, and achieve performance objectives.
• Building and Developing High-Performing Teams - Leading recruitment, onboarding, staffing, training, and performance management.
• Strengthening Physician Relationships and Collaboration - Fostering partnerships with physicians, practice leaders, and stakeholders to support engagement and operational needs.
• Managing Financial Performance and Resources - Developing and monitoring departmental budgets to ensure fiscal accountability and alignment with financial objectives.
• Ensuring Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management - Coordinating audits and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
• Driving Operational Excellence and Accountability - Setting performance expectations and driving continuous improvements.
• Advancing Patient Access and Continuum of Care - Improving access and coordinating care across the organization.

• Strengthening Physician Relationships and Collaboration - Fostering strong partnerships with physicians, practice leaders, and organizational stakeholders to support provider engagement, address operational needs, and advance organizational goals.
• Managing Financial Performance and Resources - Developing, monitoring, and evaluating departmental budgets to ensure fiscal accountability, effective resource allocation, and alignment with organizational financial objectives.
• Ensuring Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management - Coordinating internal and external audits and ensuring departmental operations comply with applicable regulatory, legal, and ethical standards, including HIPAA privacy and security requirements, while promoting patient confidentiality, organizational compliance, and continuous quality improvement.
• Driving Operational Excellence and Accountability - Establishing performance expectations, directing and prioritizing work, monitoring departmental outcomes, resolving service concerns, and implementing improvements that enhance efficiency and service quality.
