Job summary

The City of Florence is seeking a Market Coordinator to plan, develop, and coordinate projects for the City Center Farmers Market. The role reports to the City Manager’s Office and may require events on weekends and some Saturdays.

Required is a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field with three years of relevant experience, strong written and spoken communication, and a valid South Carolina driver's license.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Event planning experience helpful.
• Hours may vary to accommodate events and includes some Saturdays.
• Valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and coordinate projects for the City Center Farmers Market and report to the City Manager’s Office.
• Prepare and present projects to media, committees, boards, and at various conferences and meetings.
• Research and apply for grants or other fundraising opportunities.
