Job summary

Cape Resorts Group in New Jersey is seeking a market clerk to deliver friendly customer service at a fast pace. You will clear tables, stock goods, handle cash and perform tasks for the stand, all while talking knowledgeably about our Farm and its products.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, working outdoors in all weather, and always arriving early. A neat appearance and punctuality are essential, with multitasking as a daily norm.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Cash handling and basic math accuracy needed.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and move for long periods throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Clear tables and stock case goods, pantry items, produce, and paper products.
• Run food orders and assist with service as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of stand, trash disposal, floors, and restrooms.
• Stoke fires and operate Square Terminal for cash/credit transactions.
• Talk knowledgeably about our Farm and its products to customers.

Position Overview: This position requires a neat appearance and high proficiency in customer service. We want to surprise and delight at every turn and that starts with our interaction with our guests. The market clerk will be on the front lines of customer service and you will be asked to work at a fast pace with a multi-tasking frame of mind.These duties may be described as, but not limited to:Clear tablesRun food ordersMaintain cleanliness of stand (trash disposal, floors, bathroom cleanliness)Stock case goods, pantry goods, produce/herbs/flowers, and paper productsStoke firesRun Square Terminal and handle cash/credit transactions with speed and accuracyPerform or assist store manager on any task assignedBe able to talk with knowledge to our customers about our Farm and its productsRefill teas and learn how to prepare themRequirements:Applicant should be able to lift 50lbs and be able to stand for long periods of time, move at a fast pace and be able to bend, twist, and lift multiple times throughout the day.The position also requires you to be outside during all weather conditions.Neat appearance (hair back, no facial piercings, tattoos covered, appropriate clothing)Punctual (if you’re not 10 minutes early, you are late)Multitasking
