Job summary

Northeast Grocery is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in preparing and dispensing prescription medications under pharmacist supervision at our Massachusetts location. You will manage customer data, provide counseling, support daily pharmacy operations, and help meet financial and operational goals.

Responsibilities include complying with laws and policies, recording data, and assisting in maintaining security of controlled substances while supporting the pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Possess strong communication skills.

• Prepares and dispenses prescription medications, all supervised by the Pharmacist.
• Follow directions from the pharmacist on duty and pharmacy manager.
• Enter customer data into the computer, keep accurate records, complete all necessary paperwork relating to the pharmacy.
• Counsel’s patients and medical providers regarding the nature and use of drugs, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects.
• Fulfill general housekeeping duties.
• Achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense.
• Maintain security of all controlled substances.
