Job summary

Saalex in Newport, RI seeks a Control Cell (White Cell) Member to support operational planning education, training, and wargaming. The role involves assisting with maritime and joint-force exercises in a realistic command-and-control environment.

Responsibilities include developing scenarios, delivering instruction on MOC doctrine, and coordinating with faculty and exercise teams. A master's degree or MSOC and eligibility for Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting operational planning, education, wargaming, exercises, or defense operations.
• Knowledge of joint/maritime operational planning concepts and doctrine.
• Ability to analyze operational problems and develop realistic training scenarios.
• Experience facilitating training events or military education programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Control Cell (White Cell) Member to support exercise planning and curriculum objectives.
• Plan, coordinate, execute, and assess operational-level exercises, simulations, and wargames.
• Instruct on MOC doctrine, missions, functions, tasks, and planning processes.
• Facilitate learning in maritime and joint operational planning, C2, and decision-making.
• Develop exercise scenarios, injects, timelines, and training materials.
• Execute war games and exercises per relevant doctrine (NWP 5-01, NWP 3-32, NTTP 3-32.1, JP 3-32).
• Monitor execution and adjust scenarios to maintain realism.
• Prepare briefings, after-action reports, and training assessments.
• Coordinate with faculty, personnel, and support teams.
• Research and present operational concepts, planning considerations, and lessons learned.
