Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Maritime Litigation Attorney to join its South Florida team in Miami, Florida. This role offers an opportunity to expand and develop a maritime litigation practice within a leading litigation firm.
Duties
- Handle day‑to‑day management of maritime cases.
- Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
- Guide plaintiff clients through the case process.
- Interact with expert witnesses, including drafting reports and affidavits.
- Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
Requirements
- Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- Ideally 4+ years of personal injury litigation experience, preferably in maritime law.
- Ability to manage a high volume of litigation cases and take them to trial.
- Excellent client service and communication skills.
- Self‑starter driven by long‑term career goals.
- Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.
Education
- Law degree (Juris Doctor) from a fully ABA‑accredited law school.
Certifications
- Active membership with the Florida Bar.
