Job summary

Associated Terminals is seeking an Industrial Forklift Operator to safely move cargo in a fast-paced maritime setting in Chalmette, LA. You will perform pre-job inspections, operate forklifts (8,000‑50,000 lbs), and assist with deck and warehouse operations while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of heavy equipment experience in maritime environments.
• TWIC Card required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy forklifts and loaders with safety focus.
• Conduct pre-job inspections and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Assist with deck and warehouse operations to support cargo handling activities.
• Perform quality inspections of cargoes and record production information.
• Transload cargo to/from trucks, railcars, vessels, and barges per safety protocols.
• Participate in company safety initiatives and follow policies.
