Job summary

Trident Maritime Systems in Arlington, VA is seeking a Financial Analyst I to deliver core financial insights across the business. You will support monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and cash/work capital analysis to drive decisions and efficiency.

You will collaborate with operations, supply chain, and accounting teams to standardize reporting, maintain data governance, and support leadership with executive-ready materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 2–4 years of progressive financial analysis experience.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset supporting cross-functional initiatives.
• Knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in finance.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly close activities with variance analysis and leadership commentary.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and reporting packages (cash, AR/AP aging, billings, margin).
• Assist with standard cost updates and annual rate reviews.
• Support cash forecasting and working capital analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
• Prepare materials for executive reviews and ad hoc requests.
• Stay current on maritime industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and data governance.
