Job summary

Everett Ship Repair in Everett, WA seeks a Maintenance Coordinator to steward the reliability of dry-dock assets, coordinating maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and overhauls in alignment with NAVSEA requirements.

You will plan, schedule, and oversee dock evolutions, ensuring safety, documentation, and first-time quality across trades in a fast-paced shipyard environment.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or higher degree.
  • 2–3 years in maintenance, overhaul, or shipyard operations.
  • Experience with NAVSEA Standard Items preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate dock maintenance and modernization activities.
  • Execute work using NAVSEA standards, manuals, drawings, and specs.
  • Champion safety practices and controls for gas-free work and confined spaces.
  • Monitor progress, labor, materials, cost, and schedule adherence.
  • Inspect mechanical, piping, and auxiliary systems; record discrepancies.
  • Maintain configuration control and ensure complete documentation.
  • Review JHAs and test/inspection plans to drive first-time quality.
  • Lead daily toolbox talks and safety briefings with teams.
  • Identify growth work and prioritize with the Dry Dock Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Engage NAVSEA, SUPSHIP, and DoD during audits and certifications.

Maritime Docking Infrastructure Maintenance CoordinatorPicture a critical docking window: vessels queued, schedules tight, safety non-negotiable. You ensure the dry dock is ready—systems inspected, controls verified, paperwork precise—so crews can execute confidently and the fleet can sail on time.
