Job summary

Arc Services is seeking a Construction Support Engineer to support a major naval shipbuilding and defense program in Groton, Connecticut. This role provides technical engineering support during construction, testing, certification, and delivery of complex maritime systems.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams, reviewing drawings and specifications, resolving issues, and implementing engineering changes while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, construction, shipbuilding, or defense.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support for construction, installation, testing, certification, and delivery activities.
• Serve as a liaison between engineering, production, operations, planning, and quality organizations.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve technical issues during construction and manufacturing.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Coordinate technical solutions involving multiple engineering disciplines.
• Support engineering changes, modifications, and corrective actions.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop prevention recommendations.
• Collaborate with skilled trades, technicians, and production personnel.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Prepare technical documentation and engineering evaluations.
