Job summary

Arc Services seeks a Construction Support Engineer to assist a major naval shipbuilding program in Groton, CT. The role provides technical engineering support during construction, testing, certification, and delivery of complex maritime systems.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with production teams, skilled trades, and engineering disciplines in a fast-paced environment and hold a BS in engineering with relevant experience. Per diem may be offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years engineering experience in manufacturing, construction, shipbuilding, or defense.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with root cause analysis and engineering changes is a plus.
• Able to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support for construction, installation, testing, and delivery.
• Act as liaison among engineering, production, operations, planning, and quality.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues arising during construction.
• Review engineering drawings, specs, procedures, and requirements.
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary technical solutions.
• Support engineering changes, modifications, and corrective actions.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend preventive actions.
• Prepare technical documentation and evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and safety standards.
• Work with skilled trades and production personnel.
