Job summary

Chimera Enterprises International is seeking a diligent Safety and Suitability Screener (SSEB Screener) to support the U.S. Coast Guard National Maritime Center's credentialing program.

You will conduct background checks, verify personal data, and ensure compliance with safety and security standards for merchant mariner applicants. Responsibilities include data collection, data reconciliation, and maintaining a high daily output while handling sensitive information with strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience in background investigations or security vetting.
• Ability to obtain USCG Suitability clearance.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate merchant mariner applications for safety and suitability.
• Obtain and analyze personal data including FBI histories and citizenship proof.
• Investigate conflicting documentation.
• Maintain a high-volume production rate (21 units/day).
