Job description

Optometrist - Full-time- OD/MD Medical Private Practice (No Weekends) - Marion, IL (FLOAT between offices in IL and MO)

A company vehicle will be provided for all required travel within the practices.

We are a private OD/MD practice that is well respected in the surrounding areas . We handle a high volume of surgery in our community and are searching for a fantastic new OD to join and practice full-scope care and this candidate would need to float to two of our offices in the Marion, IL area that are close by.

What You’ll Need:

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree
• Valid IL and MO state license to practice optometry (or pending) - will need both licenses to float to our offices
• Interest or familiarity with ocular disease including treating and diagnosing
• Comfortable working alongside other MDs. Average patients are 24 per day
• Our ideal candidate has good rapport with staff and patients, ethical and a hard worker

Exposure: You will gain exposure to a wide range of eye care and vision needs in our full-scope practice with an emphasis on medical optometry. Our ODs see some of the MD’s post-operative care in addition to providing comprehensive routine and medical care to diagnose the patient to refer to the MD's at the practice.

Environment: As an OD in our practice you will have the support of a full staff comprised of technicians and front desk support. The MDs work alongside the ODs and there is a great team environment. We are equipped with an OCT, visual field, topography, and any equipment our physicians need to practice full scope.

Schedule: Our full-time doctors work a standard 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday-Friday and no weekends! One hour for lunch as well.
