Job summary

Regal Boats is seeking a reliable Wood/Plastic Sub-Assembler to join our production team. This role assembles pre-cut wood and plastic components used throughout the boat-building process, requiring attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.

The ideal candidate will work with hand and pneumatic tools, read basic drawings and blueprints, lift up to 50 pounds, and work 10-hour shifts in a non-climate-controlled environment. Overtime may be required to support production.

Qualifications

• Experience using hand tools and basic power tools such as screw guns, drills, staplers, and rivet tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure and basic assembly drawings accurately.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Ability to stand, bend, and climb stairs while performing a 10-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Assemble raw materials into wood and plastic components.
• Put parts together as part of sub-assemblies (trim).
• Assemble carpentry components and prepare them for downstream departments.
• Use hand tools and pneumatic tools to install fasteners, brackets, supports, and hardware per specs.
• Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and blueprints for accurate assembly.
• Inspect components for accuracy, fit, and finish before and after assembly.
• Label, stage, and organize completed units for downstream delivery.
• Maintain tools and workstation safety and cleanliness.
• Report shortages, damaged parts, or documentation discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily production schedules and quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Assist in continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and quality.
