Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a talented structural engineer for its Marine and Waterfront Structures practice. You will design, analyze, inspect, and rehabilitate port and marine infrastructure along the East Coast, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects.

Requirements include a PE license, ABET-accredited civil/structural degree, and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
5+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably in marine/ waterfront projects.
Experience with design, inspection, rehabilitation, or construction support of marine infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis, design calculations, and evaluations for new construction, rehabilitation, and repair of marine structures.
Prepare technical reports, calculations, and construction documents.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (structural, geotechnical, coastal, environmental, construction).
Support project managers with schedules, budgets, and quality objectives.
Ensure designs comply with codes and client standards, including USACE and NAVFAC.
