Job summary

Trident Maritime Systems is seeking candidates for a progression role in shipyard construction. The job involves installing bulkheads, ceilings, doors, windows and related interior components across vessels and marine structures.

You will advance through four classes (4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st) with increasing responsibilities. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and basic tool experience; knowledge of welding or electrical work is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
  • Experience using basic hand tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with blueprints and drawings helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Installs/assists in installing bulkheads, ceilings, doors and related carpentry.
  • Works with insulation, tiles and caulking in compartments.
  • Reviews blueprints to assist construction and layout.
  • Assists with electrical work, lighting and power panel hookups as needed.
  • Adheres to safety rules and performs tasks in a shipyard environment.
