Job Type: Full-Time (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Marine Technician specializing in marine electronics and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will also be cross-trained or willing to develop expertise in other onboard systems, such as plumbing, and mechanical systems. This role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team to ensure customer satisfaction and quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose, install, repair, and maintain marine electronics and electrical systems, including navigation equipment, communication systems, and power distribution.
  2. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on a variety of onboard systems.
  3. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, plumbing, and other systems as needed.
  4. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer’s manuals.
  5. Maintain detailed service records and provide comprehensive reports for customers.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
  7. Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure service expectations are met.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a Marine Technician, with a focus on electronics and electrical systems.
  2. Strong understanding of DC and AC electrical systems, marine electronics, and NMEA 2000 networks.
  3. Familiarity with brands such as Raymarine, Garmin, Simrad, and other leading manufacturers.
  4. Cross-training or willingness to learn other onboard systems (plumbing, mechanical, etc.).
  5. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  6. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  7. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  9. Effective communication and customer service skills.
  10. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work. Company vehicles provided during work hours.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  2. Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
  3. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
