Job summary

CANAL BARGE COMPANY is seeking experienced Shore Tankermen for their Port Arthur/Beaumont area operations in Sulphur, LA. The role focuses on safe transfer of liquid cargos and minor barge maintenance, requiring safety awareness and required marine certifications.

The ideal candidate will have significant shore tankerman experience, valid PIC/DL endorsement, TWIC, and the ability to pass background checks and pre-employment screenings. Heater/boiler experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years Shore Tankerman experience
• 2nd Issue of License
• Valid U.S. Merchant Mariner’s endorsement as PIC/DL
• Current, valid TWIC
• Valid Driver’s License
• High school diploma or equivalency
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test and be clean shaven
• Heater/Boiler experience required

Responsibilities
