Job summary

Campbell Transportation Company in Channelview, TX seeks Marine Vessel Tankermen for Gulf Division to safely load and unload liquid barges, maintain vessel cleanliness and perform minor repairs. This role requires a USCG Tankerman-PIC (Barge) Dangerous Liquids license, TWIC, a valid driver's license and the ability to work extended shifts in all weather conditions.

The position is full-time with competitive wages and participation in benzene monitoring.

Qualifications

• Valid, current MMD endorsed as Tankerman-PIC (Barge) Dangerous Liquids through USCG.
• Minimum of 1-year experience as a Tankerman.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to possess a Transportation Worker’s Identification Card (TWIC).
• Ability to traverse boats, barges, and tows a minimum of two miles per day.
• Ability to transport equipment of 60 to 100 pounds up to 1000 feet.
• Ability to ascend/descend a 90-degree ladder up to 40 feet.
• Ability to move through 18-inch diameter hatch and enter confined spaces.
• Respirator fit at all times and cleared for fit testing annually.
• Successful completion of Benzene clearance pre-employment and annual participation.
• Ability to work a minimum 12-hour shift (up to 15 hours).

Responsibilities

• Load and unload liquid tank barges safely.
• Maintain vessel cleanliness and perform minor repairs.
• Work rotating shifts in all weather conditions.
