Prescient Edge is seeking a Marine Systems Engineer to support U.S. Navy MUSV acceptance, integration, testing, modernization, and lifecycle engineering activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Minimum three years of professional systems engineering or closely related multidisciplinary engineering experience.
  • Experience in complex systems that integrate mechanical, electrical/electronic, controls, communications, software, sensors, or related subsystems.
  • Working knowledge of marine or comparable vehicle/platform systems, including propulsion, steering, power, auxiliaries, sensors, communications, and integrated control systems.
  • Ability to perform technical analysis, troubleshoot cross-domain system issues, interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation, and communicate technically sound recommendations.
  • Experience supporting system integration, test and evaluation, inspection, acceptance, verification, or lifecycle engineering activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively within an integrated Government-contractor-engineering team.
  • Ability to meet applicable SECRET clearance, safety, security, site-access, and physical requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate marine platform, subsystem, and interface requirements and support integration of propulsion, steering, power, auxiliary, electrical/electronic, communications, control, payload, and autonomy-related systems.
  • Assess physical, electrical, data, software, and control interfaces among vessel systems, mission payloads, autonomy/control systems, and shore-side support equipment.
  • Analyze system performance, interoperability, reliability, maintainability, and readiness issues and develop practical recommendations and corrective actions.
  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, interface documentation, technical manuals, system specifications, and procedures.
