Job summary

Safe Harbor Marinas is seeking a Subcontractor Operations Leader (Construction) to oversee all subcontractor activities across the project lifecycle. The role collaborates with Sales, Project Development, and Management teams to ensure alignment with quality, budget and schedule while maintaining safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in marine project management, strong subcontractor coordination skills, and familiarity with marine trades and classifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of shipyard or marine project management experience.
• Proven success in subcontractor coordination, vendor management, and project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of marine subcontractor trades (paint, hot work, HVAC, tank work, confined space, etc.).
• Familiarity with Classification Societies: LR, ABS, DNV, BV, GL, RINA.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
• ABYC training/certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee subcontractor activities throughout the project lifecycle from pre-proposal to post-project review.
• Act as primary liaison between subcontractors and internal teams to ensure alignment with quality, budget, schedule and safety.
• Develop and review POs and AWAs in coordination with PMs.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and enforce safety and quality standards.
• Provide daily reports and updates to PMs and vessel representatives.
• Support development of AWAs, POs and updated task schedules.
