An established industry player is seeking skilled welders with shipyard experience to join their team. This role involves performing production welding on various marine vessels, including US Naval and Military Sealift Command ships. Candidates should be proficient in SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding processes, with certifications in all welding positions. Pay rate: $27 per hour - 1st and 2nd shift available.
This position involves performing production welding on ships or in a shop to support structural repairs and modernization of marine vessels, including US Naval Vessels, Military Sealift Command ships, and commercial ships. The following qualifications and skills are desired:
Varies from office-like conditions to outdoor work with exposure to weather, noise, and confined spaces. PPE is mandatory at all times. Work may involve heights, mechanical lifts, and working in tight spaces with potential hazards like falling objects and moving machinery.
Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally, standing, walking, climbing, working at heights, and operating tools. Must adapt to various work environments, including confined spaces and elevated platforms.
