Job summary

Hutco, Inc in Portsmouth, NH seeks a Marine Shipyard Recruiter/Site Coordinator to place skilled trade professionals in contract and direct hire roles. The role requires excavation into shipyards, high-volume recruiting, and hands-on site support.

The position covers full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and field coordination with a focus on reliability and customer service. Expect travel to job sites and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recruiting experience in industrial, marine, or skilled trades (shipyard experience).
• Knowledge of shipyard crafts and safety considerations.
• Goal-oriented, self-driven, energetic with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in time management and computer skills (ATS).

Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen and qualify skilled trade professionals including welders, fitters, electricians, pipefitters, riggers, marine joiners.
• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process.
• Screen resumes, conduct interviews, verify certifications and work history.
• Handle onboarding, insurance, compliance and new hire paperwork.
• Maintain talent pipelines and build strong candidate relationships.
• Provide outstanding customer service as the main point of contact for workforce needs.
• Meet and check in new employees at the job site on start date.
• Respond and provide transportation if an employee is injured on site.
• Make supply runs to support field operations.
• Work with internal teams to meet client needs.
• Prepare weekly employment reports and support team goals.
