Our Service Technicians work to diagnose and repair boats and engines on a diverse line of products, keeping you challenged while developing your skill set. Job Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Salary: Pay commensurate with experience.

Essential Functions:

  1. Examine marine watercraft (both in water and dry dock) to diagnose malfunctions and damage, working with service writers to schedule and provide accurate repair quotes.
  2. Perform maintenance in various settings, including mobile servicing at client locations.
  3. Work efficiently while prioritizing safety.
  4. Winterize and de-winterize watercraft, ensuring thorough evaluations and double checks.
  5. Maintain, repair, and replace major components such as engines, drives, generators, transmissions, and more.
  6. Install and repair electrical components including lights, instrument panels, ignition systems, and audio accessories.
  7. Operate hoists, hydraulic jacks, forklifts, tractors, and other mobility equipment safely.
  8. Prepare watercraft for boat shows, ensuring proper loading, trailer inspection, and shrink wrapping.
  9. Stay familiar with inventory to service and prepare watercraft for delivery effectively.
  10. Complete warranty work according to manufacturer guidelines and Iconic Marine standards.
  11. Keep certifications current and attend courses to enhance skills.
  12. Maintain the shop area and report facility repairs needed.
  13. Perform final inspections to ensure watercraft are in optimal condition before delivery or client pickup, addressing any issues promptly.

Skills & Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2-4 years marine service experience; familiarity with current brands is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills; training provided on specific systems.
  • Possess or able to obtain Class E driver and boaters licenses; Marine Technician Certification is a plus.

Work Environment:

Typical shop environment with moderate noise, heat, and cold exposure. Outdoor and marine environments may have uneven/slippery surfaces. Noise levels increase with watercraft interaction.
