Are you an experienced marine mechanic who can do more than just turn wrenches?

Keowee Marina is looking for a skilled, versatile Marine Mechanic / Service Technician who takes pride in diagnosing complex problems, delivering quality repairs, and getting customers back on the water with confidence.

We're not looking for someone who needs to be walked through every repair. We're looking for an experienced professional who knows their craft, enjoys solving problems, and takes ownership of their work.

WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON

Our service department handles a wide variety of marine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, including:

• Outboard Engines: Yamaha, Mercury, and other major manufacturers.
• Sterndrive & Inboard Systems: MerCruiser, Volvo Penta, and related systems.
• Advanced Diagnostics: Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, fuel, and engine-performance issues.
• Marine Systems: Cooling, steering, fuel delivery, rigging, and onboard electrical systems.
• Preventative Maintenance: Annual services, water pumps, winterization, and seasonal preparation.
• Vessel Repairs: Mechanical repairs, component replacement, accessory installations, and general marine service.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE

We're particularly interested in someone who:

Has proven professional marine mechanical experience.

Is comfortable working across multiple engine manufacturers and marine systems.

Has strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, including electrical and mechanical systems.

Can independently diagnose problems, determine appropriate repairs, and complete work with minimal supervision.

Takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and getting repairs right the first time.

Is capable of managing assigned jobs, documenting repairs, and communicating progress effectively.

Understands the importance of productivity, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

Is dependable, organized, and works well as part of a professional service team.

Manufacturer certifications are a plus, but proven experience, technical knowledge, and demonstrated ability matter most.

COMPENSATION & OPPORTUNITY

Competitive Hourly Pay: $28 to $35 to + per hour based on experience

Compensation is based on experience, manufacturer certifications, diagnostic capabilities, and demonstrated technical expertise.
