Birdon America Inc. is seeking a Marine Service Tech for a full-time direct position in Bellingham, WA. The role involves safe operation, engine and electrical system testing, and on-site servicing of marine diesel and gas engines.

Qualifications

• Certifications for servicing marine diesel and/or gas engines inboard and outboard are required.
• Must have a general set of marine service tools for mechanical service repairs and diagnostic capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation and navigation of vessel to meet safety and environmental regulations.
• Performance testing of marine engines and electrical systems.
• Carrying out services and repairs on outboard, inboard, gas, and diesel engines.
• Troubleshooting engine and electrical problems.
• Conduct electrical AC & DC system maintenance.
• Complete and maintain service records and repair documents.
• Supervise repairs ranging from simple maintenance to complete rebuilds or replacement of major components.
• Repairing and installing engines, electrical systems, electrical components, heating, ventilation, and water systems.
• Reporting to the marine manager and assisting in building a team of service technicians.
• Communicate with customers and supplies when required.
