Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• All degrees must be from accredited institutions.
• Familiarity with coastal and marine science and CMS programs.
• Experience planning and executing research-focused events.
• Proficiency with digital platforms, web development, data visualization, SharePoint, and Google Workspace.
• Ability to coordinate research programs and stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of CMS policies on space use, scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, catering, and travel.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient in information management, data interpretation, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of CMS research programs to inform planning.
• Monitor CMS research activities; track data and prepare progress reports.
• Develop resources sharing frameworks for CMS research.
• Coordinate with leadership to plan workshops, meetings, and outreach.
• Assist leadership in short-term strategies to meet CMS goals.
• Act as a contact for faculty, staff, students, partners and the public.
• Represent CMS at events and on campus and off-campus venues.
