Job summary

HazTek Safety Management is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to support a marine dredging project in Absecon, NJ. The role will oversee project quality requirements, inspections, documentation, and coordination to ensure work meets contract specifications and federal standards.

Responsibilities include developing the Quality Control Plan, conducting three-phase inspections, reviewing plans and testing, and maintaining comprehensive QC records.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction quality control in marine, dredging, heavy civil, or federal projects.
• Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 requirements and related standards.
• CQM-C certification preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project Quality Control Plan.
• Manage the three-phase control process: preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.
• Review project plans, specifications, submittals, and testing requirements.
• Monitor dredging and marine construction activities for compliance.
• Coordinate inspections and testing with project personnel, subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Document deficiencies and track corrective actions through completion.
• Maintain daily QC reports, inspection records, submittal logs, and other required documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate quality concerns to project leadership.
