Job summary

Hinckley Yachts in Fort Myers seeks a Purchasing Manager to lead vendor relations, purchasing operations, and inventory management in our premium marine manufacturing environment. You will drive vendor negotiations, establish purchasing policies, and monitor costs while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations and U.S.

laws. Build lasting supplier relationships and contribute to our tradition of craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Eight to ten years of purchasing experience with a focus in the marine industry.
• Proven experience in vendor negotiations and supply chain optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Vendor Relations: Lead vendor relationship efforts. Oversee negotiations, secure optimal pricing, and review service agreements.
• Purchasing Operations: Establish and enforce purchasing policies. Ensure all requisitions have proper approval. Adhere to environmental and safety regulations and comply with U.S. laws and corporate ethics.
• Inventory: Manage inventory stock. Monitor market trends to anticipate inventory needs.
• Financial Oversight: Monitor costs during blanket purchase order periods. Establish financial terms with vendors (account/credit).
• Other: All duties as assigned.
