Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in business or supply chain.
• Minimum 3 years in ship repair or shipbuilding with purchasing experience in marine industry.
• Working knowledge of CPSR requirements.
• Working knowledge of FAR.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and procurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Solicit competitive pricing for materials, equipment, and services.
• Evaluate vendor quotations and recommend best value.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in the procurement system.
• Estimate material and service costs to support bids and purchasing decisions.
• Coordinate procurement to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
• Maintain and update the approved vendor database.
• Arrange equipment rentals and related services for active projects.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with CPSR and FAR requirements.
• Maintain procurement records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with oversight of daily material delivery and pickup activities.
