Job summary

Ballard Marine Construction in Washougal, WA, is seeking skilled Pile Buck to join a marine construction crew. You will assist with piling installation, rigging, crane operations, material handling, and operating work skiffs as part of a safety-focused team.

Responsibilities include setting up pile driving components, ensuring alignment with project plans, and working on barges or vessels in varying marine environments. Strong teamwork and adherence to safety policies are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Current Rigger’s card required.
• Current boaters card required.
• First Aid & CPR cert required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pile driving and marine construction work as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent.
• Prepare, rig, position, install, and remove concrete, steel pipe, H-pile, timber, and sheet piling.
• Assist with the setup, assembly, and operation of pile driving, crane, and hoisting equipment.
• Rig, receive, unload, move, and stage materials and equipment used in marine construction operations.
• Assist with positioning pile leads, hammers, templates, and other pile driving components.
• Perform site preparation and structural work associated with retaining walls, bulkheads, foundations, bridges, piers, and other marine structures.
• Support movement and setup of barges, floating equipment, and marine work platforms.
• Perform rigging, welding, cutting, carpentry, and other craft-related work as qualified and assigned.
• Inspect tools, rigging, equipment, and work areas prior to use and report unsafe or defective conditions.
• Follow project plans, specifications, work procedures, and direction from field leadership.
