Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Outside Machinists / Diesel Mechanicsfor projects located in the San Diego, CA area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $28/hour based on experience plus $150/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. If you are a Marine Outside Machinists/Diesel Mechanic and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:

• Install, maintain & repair ships, propulsion, and auxiliary systems including but not limited to steam turbine, electrical and diesel propulsion systems, rudders, and steering gear elevators and navy unrep systems
• Install, repair & maintain ships fluid systems which include pumps, compressors, purifiers, heat exchangers, actuators and valves
• Test equipment to ensure systems meets specifications
• Install and test various shop equipment
• Perform other related tasks as assigned

Responsibilities

• 3+ years of experience
• Must pass background check and drug screen
• Firewatch certification and OSHA 10; TI can provide training for qualified candidates
• Respirator fit certification
