Job summary

Mercury Marine, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, is seeking an NVH Engineering Intern to join the NVH & Structures Team. You will gain hands-on experience in product testing, data acquisition, signal analysis, and engineering problem solving while working with experienced engineers and technicians.

The internship offers exposure to advanced instrumentation and real-world product development, with opportunities to contribute to improving performance, durability, and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at an accredited university.
• Second-semester sophomore standing with at least 48 completed credits.
• Enrolled in a four-year engineering curriculum and formal co-op/internship program.
• Available to work full-time May–August 2027.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Support NVH & Structures testing activities in laboratory and on-water environments.
• Collect, process, and analyze acoustic and vibration data to support decisions.
• Assist with setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of NVH instrumentation.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations of findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to meet project timelines.
• Follow safety practices and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
