Job summary

HavocAI Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team in North Kingstown, RI. This mechanical-first role partners with electrical and software engineers to deliver robust, manufacturable hardware for uncrewed surface vessels.

You’ll design, integrate, and test mechanical systems, create CAD drawings, and ensure field readiness. A BS in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of experience are expected; onsite work required at least three days weekly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical engineering design and system integration.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for modeling and drafting.
• Familiarity with electrical interfaces, harness routing and environmental sealing.
• Experience prototyping, assembling, testing and troubleshooting mech/ electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to mechanical design and integration of systems and payloads, including structures and packaging.
• Define mechanical interfaces, routing paths and mounting solutions to support electrical integration.
• Create detailed SolidWorks models, assemblies and drawings for marine environments.
• Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to specify, build and test subsystems.
• Support manufacturing to ensure designs are manufacturable and serviceable.
