Job summary

Mastercraft Boat Company LLC is seeking a Mechanical/Design Engineer to assist in designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems for Chaparral boats. The role involves conducting FEA, optimizing designs for manufacturing, and supporting production teams under the Director of Engineering.

The candidate will develop and maintain BOMs, interface with suppliers, and contribute to new product testing and ongoing upgrades, while upholding MasterCraft quality standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' marine design and mechanical background.
• Strong CAD/engineering software background.
• Commitment to quality and industry standards.
• Good interfacing and teamwork.
• Proficient PC software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Product development from concept to production.
• Provide detailed designs and vendor support.
• Perform FEA to validate designs.
• Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing and assembly.
• Develop BOMs and layouts on drawings.
• Interface with suppliers for applications and installations.
• Support Service Department with technical product assistance.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and timely project phases.
