Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. is seeking a Marine Mechanic to perform maintenance and replacement tasks on our tour boats and rental fleet. You will diagnose mechanical issues, maintain vessels to USCG standards, and participate in daily team briefings with supervisors.

The role requires handling hull repairs, electrical systems, hydraulics, and basic electronics, with a focus on safety, environmental stewardship, and timely work orders. Training and Florida Clean Marina guidelines apply.

Qualifications

  • Ability to repair fiberglass and aluminum hulls to USCG specs.
  • Knowledge of 12V electrical systems for diagnosis and repair.
  • Basic hydraulic, plumbing, and electronics knowledge.
  • Towing experience required for bottom repairs and hurricane prep.
  • Strong communication skills to work with captains, Coast Guard inspectors, and site managers.
  • Proficiency with Office 365.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Take a methodical approach to diagnose all types of mechanical issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure compliance for USCG inspections on our tour boats and rental fleet.
  • Complete courses and other trainings pertaining to the position.
  • Use a proactive approach to environmental stewardship and ensure all work is performed under the Florida Clean Marina Program guidelines.
  • Create work orders and ensure they are billed to the correct unit as assigned.
  • Participate in daily meetings by phone or Teams with direct supervisor.
  • All other duties as assigned.
