Quality Marine in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to maintain accurate livestock inventory records in our marine fish, coral, and invertebrate warehouses. This role focuses on daily counts, correcting identifications and size classifications, and reviewing shipments for potential errors.

The ideal candidate will identify marine life, use Excel and inventory software, and work with the warehouse team to ensure data accuracy and timely updates.

Qualifications

• Ability to identify marine life (fish, corals, invertebrates).
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to learn and use inventory management software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily physical counts of fish, corals, and invertebrates and compare them against known inventory records.
• Identify and correct misidentified livestock and inaccurate size classifications in the inventory system.
• Review shipments after arrival for potential identification and sizing errors.
• Update inventory records accurately.
• Investigate discrepancies and report unresolved issues.
• Work with warehouse team members to maintain accurate and organized inventory records.
• Invoice pre-entry.
• Processing return shipments.
• Support inventory movements and opening space for new arrivals.
