Job summary

Marsh seeks a Placement Specialist in Chicago to manage complex client placement strategies across marine lines. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office work at least three days per week, with collaboration among underwriters, brokers, and clients to deliver tailored coverage.

You will develop go-to-market methods, assist in pricing services, and ensure accurate placement data while maintaining strong carrier relationships amid a changing risk landscape.

Qualifications

• 5+ years industry experience.
• Commercial Brokerage and/or Underwriting Experience preferably in marine lines of coverage.
• P&C license a must, or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains relationships with underwriters, and is involved in the placement of sophisticated insurance programs.
• Develop methods for the go-to-market strategy and provide input on pricing of services supporting client retention and new business production.
• Lead complex placement/technical support activities on big accounts, such as ensuring procedural compliance, reviewing data and updating annual renewal exhibits.
